La “Casa del Melograno” è un’antica abitazione eoliana degli inizi del 900 con soffitti alti, letti in ferro battuto, piastrelle dell’epoca e un vecchio palmento per la premitura dell’olio (ancora in fase di restauro); gli ospiti dispongono di quattro stanze indipendenti e di due bagni da condividere sul patio esterno come da tradizione eoliana, piccoli ma puliti e confortevoli; le due stanze al piano superiore hanno a disposizione una piccola terrazza dove rilassarsi e prendere il sole e dove è possibile anche fare colazione. La casa si trova nella parte alta e panoramica di Santa Marina (porto principale e centro nevralgico dell’isola di Salina) a poche centinaia di metri dal mare, dal centro e dal porto turistico: una vista spettacolare su Lipari, Panarea e Stromboli, e l’assoluta tranquillità dovuta alla posizione piuttosto defilata rispetto al passaggio dei mezzi a motore, rende la permanenza ideale per chi vuole vivere l’isola in relax e riservatezza. The “Casa del Melograno” is an ancient eolian house from the beginning of the 900, with high ceilings, wrought-iron beds, tiled floor and an old millstone for olive oil (not restored yet); our guests have at their disposal four indipendent rooms and two small but cosy bathrooms (shared) in an outside patio like the eolian tradition; the two first floor rooms have a tiny terrace where relaxing and getting tanned and where is possible take breakfast. The house is located in the high and panoramic side of Santa Marina (main harbour and nerve-centre of the island) a few hundred meters from the sea, the tourist port and the centre: a spectacular sight on Lipari, Panarea and Stromboli, and the absolute calm due to the convenient position far from the “traffic” area, makes the stay ideal for who wants to know Salina and the Eolian Islands in relax and discretion.
